Chamberlight
Privacy
Last updated 23 September 2026
Chamberlight is a service of Keen Shift Pty Ltd (“we”). This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- When you email us: your name, your email address and whatever you put in the email, such as your organisation and the issue you follow.
- When you subscribe or buy a report: your name, email address, organisation, the issue you’ve chosen and your billing details. Stripe handles the payment. We get confirmation that you’ve paid, but we never see or store your full card number.
- When you visit this website: nothing that identifies you. The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and loads no files from other websites. Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, handles the network connection needed to deliver the pages, which includes your IP address. We don’t keep visitor logs.
Why we use it
- To send the alerts and reports you’ve asked for.
- To reply to your emails, including requests for a free report.
- To bill you and keep the records the law requires.
- To tell you about changes to a service you use.
You can ask us to stop emailing you at any time, and we will.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising. We share it only with the providers we use to run Chamberlight, and only what they need:
- Stripe, to take payments.
- Amazon Web Services, to host the website and the service.
- Our email provider, to send and receive email.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
People named in council papers
Council and planning panel papers sometimes name people, such as applicants, property owners or people who made submissions. We quote the papers as the council or panel published them and link to the original. If you are named in a quote we have sent and want it left out of future alerts, email us and we’ll look at your request.
How long we keep it
We keep subscriber details while you’re a subscriber, and billing records for as long as Australian tax law requires (generally five years). We delete or de-identify other personal information once we no longer need it.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you by emailing support@keenshift.ai. We’ll reply within 30 days. If you have a complaint about how we’ve handled your information, email us first. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
